Celebrating two decades since their debut, YUZU NO MI brought together over 100,000 audience members in a grand festival-style live performance that reimagined Yuzu’s music through the spirit of Japanese tradition. The title YUZU NO MI, meaning “the fruit of Yuzu,” reflected the band’s wish to share the “harvest” of their two-decade career with their fans, allowing everyone to experience the joy and gratitude that had grown from those twenty years together.
The centerpiece of the stage was a monumental structure titled Tenku no Fuyajo: Aiki (Sky Castle of Eternal Light), a 24.1-meter-tall illuminated castle lantern, recognized as Japan’s tallest castle-style lantern. Its design was inspired by Azuchi Castle, the legendary fortress of Oda Nobunaga, featuring a gleaming keep and ornamental shachihoko at its summit.
Across the stage and extending to both sides, 2,400 lanterns bearing fans’ names glowed in warm light while festival-style arrangements of Yuzu’s classic songs played throughout the venue. The result was an atmosphere that merged the spirit of a Japanese matsuri with the emotional depth of Yuzu’s twenty-year journey.
