Staged as a large-scale dome production, Du Gara Di Du was conceived around the theme of an amusement park set in the year 2122, where the audience themselves were imagined as visitors from the future looking back at the world of 2022. The concept invited reflection on what might change or disappear over a century, and what remains timeless in human nature.
The stage was constructed as a complete theme park environment: a carousel crowned with a castle at the center, a Ferris wheel stage on stage left, and a roller coaster structure on stage right. Every element was meticulously detailed and illuminated by 15,000 individually programmed LEDs, creating a kinetic playground of light and color that extended across the entire dome.
The show intertwined SEKAI NO OWARI’s music with the imagined social landscape of 2022, unfolding as a theatrical narrative that balanced spectacle with introspection. Beneath its dazzling exterior, Du Gara Di Du asked a quiet question: what parts of our world will survive a hundred years into the future?
